Point. Ask. Pinch.JAMES

A touch-free, multi-agent copilot that runs on your laptop. It sees your hands, hears your voice, plans the task, and never acts without your pinch.

How it works

A spoken fault in. A signed record out.

Point at the machine and say what is wrong. JAMES gathers the evidence, a rule book with no AI in it checks every step, and your pinch confirms each one.

Three places it earns its keep.

01 · Your desk

Hands-free Mac

Point at an app to open it. Say "play Believer on Spotify" or "copy those links to Notes". A planner turns one sentence into steps.

02 · The plant floor

Maintenance copilot

Sourced steps from the manual, the sensor log and approved past repairs. Unsafe steps blocked. Every step on record.

Ship a JAMES pack

OEMs package their faults, sensors, manuals and rules as a pack, so every plant runs one app across brands.

Built, not promised

What already runs.

449

automated tests passing on the Mac

8/8

unsafe steps blocked by WARDEN, 0 of 4 safe steps wrongly blocked (seeded suite)

~6s

from a spoken fault to the first sourced step (5.3 to 6.4 s in the lab, sample data)

0

camera frames or audio sent to the cloud. Speech, planning and vision run on the laptop

The industrial demo uses sample data and demo safety rules; it is not approved for a real plant yet. Industry packs are not signed yet.

Questions

Straight answers.

Does it need the internet or the cloud?

Not for the thinking. Speech, planning and vision run on your laptop with open models, and camera frames and audio never leave it. Some actions use the web by nature, like a YouTube or GitHub search.

What do I need to run it?

A Mac with a camera and Python 3.11. We build and test on a MacBook Air M4. Ollama is optional; without it JAMES runs on rules and keyword search and says so on screen.

Windows, Linux or Android?

Not yet. JAMES runs on macOS today. Windows and Linux are on the roadmap, and some of the code is already written for them.

Is it safe to use in a plant?

The safety gate is built for it: WARDEN is plain code that blocks unsafe steps, and nothing moves without a pinch. The current rules are demo rules on sample data; a real plant starts with its own rules, signed off by its EHS team.

Can a whole team use it?

Yes. JAMES runs on each person's laptop, so 500 users means 500 installs, not one busy server. Shared memory across a plant is on the roadmap.

Is it open source?

Yes, the app is MIT licensed on GitHub. The key, industry packs and company features are what we sell.
